LAS VEGAS ARTS DISTRICT PARKING GARAGE PUBLIC ART INITIATIVE

KGA Architecture engaged ArtCulture PR to develop the curatorial vision and public art strategy for a landmark three-phase public art initiative integrated into the City of Las Vegas’ new Arts District Parking Garage. The inaugural installation, Electric Desert by Victoria Hart, establishes the foundation for a cohesive public art program that will evolve over multiple phases and contribute to the district’s long-term cultural identity.

Working with KGA Architecture during the proposal phase, ArtCulture PR developed the curatorial vision and contributed public art concepts that were incorporated into KGA Architect”s successful submission, including recommendations for integrating architectural breeze block elements as part of the project’s artistic identity and the presentation of three artists for consideration during the first phase of the initiative.

ArtCulture PR established the curatorial framework, directed a national artist search, evaluated submissions, and guided the artist selection process to identify proposals that reflected both the architectural scale of the project and the evolving identity of the Las Vegas Arts District. The process culminated in the selection of Las Vegas-based artist Victoria Hart for the project’s inaugural commission and established a curatorial foundation for future phases of the public art program by the City.

Established the curatorial framework for a multi-phase municipal public art initiative while contributing public art concepts incorporated into the project’s successful proposal, directing the artist selection process, and creating a long-term vision for integrating public art into one of downtown Las Vegas’ most significant civic infrastructure projects.

THE GOLDEN STEER EXPANSION

As part of The Golden Steer’s first major expansion in more than fifty years, ArtCulture PR provided curatorial strategy for the integration of fine art, historic memorabilia, vintage artifacts, photography, and culturally significant objects celebrating one of Las Vegas’ most iconic restaurants.

Working closely with ownership, ArtCulture PR identified, researched, sourced, and curated artwork and artifacts that reinforced the restaurant’s remarkable history while supporting the vision for its new themed spaces. Every acquisition was thoughtfully selected to enhance the guest experience through authentic storytelling, historical context, and a deeper connection to Las Vegas’ rich cultural heritage.

Beyond collection development, ArtCulture PR recommended design elements that showcased key acquisitions throughout the expanded spaces and documented provenance to support interpretation, marketing, and the long-term historical significance of the collection.

Helped transform one of Las Vegas’ most iconic restaurants into a richer cultural destination through historically informed collection development, authentic storytelling, and thoughtfully integrated design that strengthens both visitor engagement and the preservation of the property’s remarkable legacy.
