Boundless Space: The Possibilities of Burning Man is a charitable sale featuring the remarkable expressions of creativity that emerge from the annual Burning Man event and global culture.
Dive into an eclectic collection of sculptures, paintings, collectibles, mutant vehicles, NFTs, and one-of-a-kind experiences. Produced by Sotheby’s in collaboration with Burning Man Project, funds raised by Boundless Space will support participating artists, help ensure the nonprofit’s long-term survival, and fund the Burning Man Arts and Civic Engagement programs, which nurture an ecosystem of artists, makers and community leaders. In alignment with Burning Man Project’s commitment to Radical Inclusion, diversity, and equity, the organization is fostering new relationships by inviting work by Black, Indigenous, and Persons of Color (BIPOC) artists.
All are invited to explore Sotheby’s auction’s online catalogue, which will be released in early September, 2021; the auction will open for online bidding on 30 September thru 8 October 2021. Some of the works on auction will be available for viewing at Sotheby’s in New York, with exciting virtual and in-person art activations taking place in early October, 2021.
